Breaking from daily reality, a man transforms into Plastic Man – armed with chemicals, ready to set landscape on fire. Is he the destroyer of Nature, or the voice of its resilience?

Commissioned by Creative Scotland and produced by the Scottish Documentary Institute, Plastic Man takes us on a journey through the Scottish landscape. Plastic Man’s journey is partly a celebration of the rich temporalities of the natural world, but also our own transient presence within it, presenting a figure of ambiguous character and intentions, who represents our entanglement within the natural world.

Plastic Man received BAFTA Scotland and  UK Best Short Film nominations, Open City Documentary Festival, London and screened across film festivals and art galleries worldwide, including Iceland, Germany, Australia and Japan among other countries. For more details please see
